This is the fifth in a series of 11 illustrations that I did for each chapter of Lemon Inc. volume 1. This chapter was the first one that really focused on Alison. Since she is colouring I’ll take this opportunity to talk about the colouring style of the chapter pages. You might have noticed that I’ve been using a different colouring style than usual with these illustrations. I wanted something to define the chapter intros from the rest of the book stylistically. I considered using sketchy art or leaving them in black and white but ultimately I decided to use a monochromatic colour scheme and to create a sort of watercolour look in Photoshop.
